Design for Manufacturing (DFM) is the optimisation of a product, part or an assembly’s design, to enable manufacturing it more efficiently and at lower costs. DFM involves re-designing and re-engineering an object during product design stage, when it's easier and less expensive to do so.
The facility intends to offers consultation to SMEs, startups, through the product development cycle to ensure effective manufacturability and low costs.
